Godnostic’s Life Purpose

Life, as we see it, is an extraordinary gift—a blessing from God. Our purpose, then, is to honor this gift through honesty, productivity, and a commitment to leaving the world better than we found it. By fostering a healthy and nurturing environment for our families, we express gratitude for life itself. It is our conviction that the talents and resources bestowed upon us by God are meant to be utilized not only for personal growth but also for the betterment of those around us.

We embrace life as a journey of growth and exploration, believing that every stage of progress has its time and place. Freedom to learn, discover, and mature is essential, as is maintaining a positive and constructive outlook. Regarding the afterlife, we hold a logical belief that its existence is tied to our faith in God. While we cannot definitively know its structure or purpose, we trust that our actions in this world may serve as preparation for what lies beyond, or perhaps even as their own form of divine reward or consequence.

Our Role in Society

In the broader context of society, we feel a responsibility to replace what we consume. Whether financially comfortable or struggling, each of us has a duty to contribute back to the world. To consume without replenishing is to live as a parasite, neglecting the balance necessary for a thriving community.

Those blessed with more resources have an even greater opportunity to make a positive impact. True wealth is found not in possessions but in enriching the lives of others. Whether by teaching, creating opportunities, or leaving a legacy of kindness and innovation, the act of giving magnifies the richness of life. For example, teaching a child to play chess or building a playground carries the potential for profound, long-lasting effects that ripple through generations.

Godnostic Principles

Our philosophy is guided by ten fundamental principles—a compass for a life well-lived:

  1. The Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated, guided by common sense and respect.

  2. Leave a Positive Legacy: Strive to leave every place, person, or situation better than you found it.

  3. Refrain from Killing: Take life only in cases of immediate self-defense when no other options exist.

  4. Commit to Truthfulness: Honesty is the cornerstone of trust and integrity.

  5. Honor the Sanctity of Relationships: Sexual activity is sacred, meant to deepen love and procreation within a committed partnership.

  6. Respect Ownership: Do not steal.

  7. Treat All Equally: Every human deserves dignity and equality, regardless of differences.

  8. Honor Beliefs and Cultures: Respect the diversity of perspectives and traditions.

  9. Express Gratitude Daily: Thank God each morning and night for the blessings of life.

  10. Seek Forgiveness: Reflect daily and ask for forgiveness for any deviations from these principles.

Common Sense Guidelines of Life

Life is filled with nuances, and our principles are complemented by practical guidelines to navigate these complexities:

  1. Avoid Excessive Wealth Accumulation: Wealth should serve to improve lives, not isolate or dominate.

  2. Pursue Physical Health: Balanced nourishment and active living enhance the quality and longevity of life.

  3. Moderate Pride: Celebrate achievements without belittling others.

  4. Use Substances Responsibly: Occasional indulgences are acceptable, but avoid anything that harms yourself or others.

  5. Respect the Purpose of Sex: Sexual activity should reflect love and commitment, avoiding casual or exploitative behavior.

  6. Stay Industrious: Contribute to the world through effort and initiative.

Living the Godnostic Way

To live as a Godnostic is to commit to a life of balance, responsibility, and purpose. It is to align one's actions with a higher calling while appreciating the freedoms and joys of human existence. By following these principles and guidelines, we honor the gift of life, inspire those around us, and prepare for the mysteries of what may come next.

In our hands lies the power to shape the future—a responsibility we embrace with gratitude and humility. Let us strive to live with purpose, leaving behind a legacy that uplifts and inspires.
